‘Remote education’ is covered under the school’s ‘Online learning’ policy. During periods of term-time school closure, subject to 24 hours’ notice to teachers in order to facilitate the adaption of lesson plans, we will:
Provide a full online learning curriculum that mirrors the expected provision that would have been available in school. Specifically:
Students will follow the same daily timetable, under the guidance of their timetabled teachers. They will receive full online lessons delivered live using Moodle & BigBlueButton video conferencing software. Students will be expected to submit work to Moodle for teachers to review and mark. Students with particular needs such as those on the SEN register or those who do not have appropriate access to equipment at home will be supported to ensure that they access the same curriculum offer as other students.
