Curriculum

At Codsall Community High School we offer a broad and balanced curriculum that aims to enable all our young people to become:

  • Successful learners, who enjoy learning, make progress and achieve
  • Confident individuals who are able to lead safe, healthy and fulfilling lives
  • Responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society
  • The school offers a wide range of subjects for all ability levels and continues to develop its curriculum in a way that is relevant to our modern and fast changing world.

In years 9, 10 and 11, students study GCSE or BTEC courses.

All students study core GCSEs in English Language, English Literature, Mathematics and Science.

Students follow a range of non-examination courses during their time at the school including Core Citizenship, Core ICT, Core PE, Personal Social Health and Economic Education (PSHEE), Core RE and
Study Skills as well as choosing four options from a choice of twenty option courses.

The options offered change each year in response to student interest, but usually include:
