Group Premises Maintenance Technician

Spinal Point Five, All Year Round, starting at £19,312 per annum.

37 hours per week. Starting January 2021

Statement of Purpose

To provide efficient and effective maintenance support to the schools, including ensuring that the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards and that heating systems operate at optimum efficiency

  • To ensure heating plant and equipment is efficiently and effectively operated.
  • To be responsible for maintaining the security of the premises and its contents.
  • To clean light fittings, replacing where necessary.
  • Undertake risk assessments as part of everyday working practices.
  • To maintain appropriate checks and records such as grounds surveys, ladders and water temperature checks.
  • In the event of a burst or leaking water pipe, turn off the water and clean up all spillage and furnishings.
  • Remove and clean spillages and stains from floors and other surfaces.
  • Ensure that gullies and drains etc are free from debris and that the school grounds are kept tidy and free from hazardous plants.
  • To undertake repairs, projects and redecoration tasks as required.
  • To undertake maintenance and minor repairs to fixtures, fittings and furnishings.
  • To undertake portage tasks as required and moving furniture
  • To attend, where appropriate, personnel visiting and working on site.

    Curriculum Area Learning Supervisor, Starting January 2021

    Spinal Point Five, Term Time Only, starting at £14,738 to £15,639 per annum.

    Codsall Community High School are looking to appoint a Curriculum Area Learning Supervisor, starting ASAP.

    As a Learning Supervisor you will:

  • Work as a cover supervisor in the absence of a teacher.
  • Take responsibility for a class of students carrying out work as set by a teacher.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons you are responsible for or come into contact with.
  • Provide structured support, including tutorial support, in accordance with schemes for learning designed and supervised by individual teachers.
  • Use specialist knowledge to provide appropriate support to students in relation to their individual needs, e.g. behaviour management strategies.
  • Contribute to raising standards by ensuring expectations are set for students.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, evaluation and implementation.
  • Develop a positive learning ethos within the school and federation.

    Cleaning Staff at Codsall Community High School

    Grade 1, Spinal Point 1, 10 hours per week, hourly rate £9.00 per hour plus holiday pay.

    We are looking to appoint 2 Cleaners to join the school premises team, based at Codsall Community High School.

    Statement of Purpose

    To work under the direction and instruction of senior staff to undertake individually, or as part of a team, the cleaning of designated areas and associated accommodation to ensure they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.

    Maintenance and Cleaning

    Carry out cleaning tasks as directed by the appropriate supervisor to include:-

  • Mop, Sweeping, Single solution mopping.
  • Buffing, Spray cleaning, Suction cleaning.
  • Damp wiping.
  • Waste disposal.
  • Stripping and resealing of hard floors.
  • Cleaning of toilet facilities and associated tasks required to achieve a high quality of cleanliness.
  • Cleaning of fixtures and fittings.
  • The use of appropriate cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • Ensuring the safe use of chemicals, machinery and equipment when carrying out the cleaning.
  • Function in line with current legislation, standards and County Council policies and procedures for Health and Safety and in accordance with training provided.

    Lunchtime Supervisor at Codsall Community High School

    We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to work as part of our team supervising pupils during the lunch break, ensuring a safe environment in which their developmental and welfare needs are met. You need to be physically fit and be able to interact with all pupils in the school, encouraging play and inclusion.

    Grade 2, SCP 2-3, Term Time Only 39.2 weeks a year (5.25 Hours,Monday-Friday)

    £2,092.69 up to £2,134.52 per annum

    Do you have:

  • Experience of working with children and managing behaviour?
  • The ability to work as part of a team, building relationships with children and staff?
  • A caring nature, able to support the emotional wellbeing of children?
  • The post holder will have responsibility for the following areas:

  • To work under the direction and instruction of senior staff to provide appropriate support on a one to one basis to children to children with special needs during the school lunch break including personal care.
  • Supervision of Pupils:

  • One to one supervision with chosen pupils to aid their social integration.
  • Supervision of a child before, during and after the meal, including the supervising or assisting with the deposit of leftover food from plates and receptacles provided.
  • Assist children with their table manners and use of cutlery.
  • Setting up and clearing away dining room equipment such as chairs and tables.
  • Organise games and activities.

    We have a new and exciting role for a Yoga Sessional Tutor.

    Key areas of responsibility:

    To provide appropriate student feedback and support and educational advice and information where necessary, to create an appropriate and welcoming atmosphere for students. We need someone with great organisational skills.

    Statement of Purpose

    We are looking to employ an experienced and certified yoga instructor, qualified Level 3 or above with knowledge of the history, philosophy and the ethics of yoga. You should possess excellent interpersonal skills in order to build relationships, as well as lead yoga sessions. You will be responsible for performing yoga poses in precise alignment, using the correct terminology and safely guiding students through the flow of the practice.

    Your passion for health and wellness, coupled with knowledge of the anatomy of the human body and physiology, will ensure success.

  • Must have a teaching qualification min PTTLS or willing to work towards this qualification.
  • Must have, or be prepared to complete online safeguarding and prevent qualifications.
  • Communicate correct yoga practice with their students, irrespective of ability.
