Business Studies is one of the most popular subjects in the school and it is highly regarded by our students due to the high quality of teaching and learning in the department and the outstanding outcomes they achieve at both Key Stage 4 and 5.

The department offers the BTEC L ½ Tech Award in Enterprise, BTEC National (2010) in Business, GCSE Business and A Level Business.

We are looking for a full-time or part-time qualified teacher to join our school in September 2019. A Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) is available for a suitably qualified teacher.

The ability to teach GCSE and A Level Business is essential. The ability to teach BTEC enterprise or Business would be an advantage. You will;

    Minibus Driver – Part Time, Permanent (Two Positions), Starting September 2019

    Codsall Community High School are looking to appoint two Minibus Drivers to join the school buildings team.

    Statement of Purpose

    Under the instruction and direction of senior staff to safely drive the school’s minibus. The maintenance and cleaning of the minibus to keep it in good condition, complying with the regulations of Staffordshire County Council for minibuses.

  • To drive pupils to and collect from colleges/higher education establishments as required – mornings and afternoons, taking registers of pupils who travel.
  • To drive pupils and members of staff to games’ meetings after school.
  • To drive pupils and members of staff on School trips.
  • To ensure the mini bus is not left empty of fuel.
  • To keep the mini bus clean and tidy.
  • It may be necessary to deliver or collect the mini bus from Fleet Care services at Stafford when servicing and/or repairs are necessary.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons you are responsible for or come into contact with.
  • Any other roles commensurate to this position.

    Cleaner – Part Time, Permanent at Codsall Community High School

    Statement of Purpose

    To work under the direction and instruction of senior staff to undertake individually, or as part of a team, the cleaning of designated areas and associated accommodation to ensure they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.

    Maintenance and Cleaning

    Carry out cleaning tasks as directed by the appropriate supervisor to include:

  • Mop, Sweeping, Single solution mopping.
  • Buffing, Spray cleaning, Suction cleaning.
  • Damp wiping.
  • Waste disposal.
  • Stripping and resealing of hard floors.
  • Cleaning of toilet facilities and associated tasks required to achieve a high quality of cleanliness.
  • Cleaning of fixtures and fittings.
  • The use of appropriate cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • Ensuring the safe use of chemicals, machinery and equipment when carrying out the cleaning.
  • Function in line with current legislation, standards and County Council policies and procedures for Health and Safety and in accordance with training provided.
  • Any other roles commensurate to this position.

All systems are designed to enable our students to thrive in an ever-changing world. We focus on developing learning skills in our students to empower them to think independently, to challenge themselves and to develop a passion for learning. Our broad and balanced curriculum will recognise that students’ strengths lie in a wealth of subjects. Learning is what we are about.

    We are looking for a Teacher of Science to join our school in September 2019. The successful candidate will have experience of teaching Science at KS2 or KS3. We are looking for a practitioner who is a model of good practice but most importantly, is passionate about the development of teaching. We are a research led school with a high focus on pedagogy.

    The post would suit a teacher with real potential or an experienced teacher who is already an outstanding practitioner.

    Teacher or Development Teacher for Health & Social Care and Child Care – Full Time Permanent

    Health and Social Care, which includes units on Childcare, is highly regarded by students in the school with strong performance at both Key Stages 4 and 5.

    Students currently follow the Cambridge National L1/2 Award in Health and Social Care at Key Stage 4 and the Cambridge Technical in Health and Social Care at Key Stage 5.

    The school has submitted an expression of interest to deliver the T-Level in Childcare from September 2021. This new appointment is to provide the additional capacity needed to deliver this new exciting Key Stage 5 course.

    We are looking for a full-time qualified teacher to join our school in September 2019.

    The ability to teach Childcare units within our existing Health and Social Care courses in 2019/20 is essential. The ability to deliver the T-Level in Childcare from 2021/22 onwards would be advantage.

    The post will suit a newly qualified teacher or an experienced teacher.
