Governance

Governors for the South Staffordshire Learning Partnership serve a term of office. Periodically, there are vacancies that arise on our governing board as a result of this and in such instances the governors will seek to elect a new member.

Within the governing board, there are staff governors, parent governors, foundation governors, local authority governors and co-opted governors, as well as associate members.

As vacancies become available, the governing board will seek to advertise and promote the vacancy to appropriate audiences.

To express an interest in becoming a governor, please email our Chair of Governors, Jess Shulman, governors@sslp.uk

Register of Governor Interests

The Governing Board must ensure that Governors and staff are not involved in activities that might conflict with their role within the school. It is especially important to demonstrate that individuals do not benefit personally from the decisions made by the governors, unless such decisions are made openly and legitimately. As such the register of interests must be available on the school website.

This should be updated fully each year and reviewed during the year. It is incumbent upon all Governors to make the school/academy aware of any changes during the year.
