A strength of our sixth form is the pastoral support we offer all of our students. We are an inclusive community and benefit from staff with a wealth of expertise and experience; staff who have a shared interest and passion for the success of the individual.
Our support system includes dedicated subject teachers, form tutors and a sixth form academic and vocational team who monitor students’ individual pathways and needs. We also have our own specialist sixth form mentor who helps students overcome any challenges -whether that be pastoral or academic concerns -to aid students to achieve their full potential.
We believe individuals at Codsall Sixth should aim to ‘be more’ not just ‘have’ more. To that end, we develop our students to stand out as well-rounded individuals who embody ‘Ambition’, ‘Altruism’ and ‘Achievement.’ Attributes that leads them to success beyond Codsall Sixth Form.
Developing Character
We ask students to complete enrichment activities as part of their personal development. This may involve participating in our Ambassador Scheme: contributing to school life through varied committees or volunteering to support the wider community. We ask students to take an active role in school and ‘be’ active role models to younger students either through: mentoring, leading School Council; implementing reading intervention schemes; supporting in lessons; engaging with clubs, charity events or the intergenerational projects in the wider community.
Students at Codsall go onto a variety of destinations and keep in touch to share their success, becoming part of our Codsall Alumni. Please find more about our Alumni and careers for life after Codsall by clicking here.
