Results Days
For 2025, results for examinations can be collected on the following dates, in person from school. Results will be given out in the Main Hall and students should attend in person, entering the school through reception.
- A-Level and Level 3 Qualifications: Thursday 14th August between 0830-1030. We will have staff on hand throughout the day to support students with any queries and UCAS/University help and advice.
- GCSE and Level 2 Qualifications (Year 11) – Thursday 21st August between 0830-1030. We will have a range of staff on hand to support students with any queries and support sixth form admissions.
- GCSE and Level 2 Qualifications (Year 10 and Year 12/13 Resit results for English/Maths) – Thursday 21st August between 0930-1030. We will have a range of staff on hand to support students with any queries.
What if I am unable to attend in person?
For data protection reasons, we will only release results to the named student. Any student who knows in advance that they will not be able to attend results day in-person should contact our Exams Officer, Mr Rushen via exams@cchs.sslp.uk to provide written authorisation to release results to a third party or alternatively, provide a stamped, addressed envelope for postage on the relevant results day to your home address. Any envelopes of results that are not collected on the relevant results day will be kept, ready for collection when the school re-opens in September. The third party collecting your results envelope must produce photo ID.
All students will be able to access results electronically through Synergy; results will be published on Synergy within 24 hours of the above collection times. Please note that, due to firewall measures that prohibit access to our IT systems outside of the UK, students who attempt to access results via Synergy whilst overseas will not be able to connect and we will not issue results via email.
How do we request a remark or other result enquiry?
If you would like to query a mark/grade upon receipt of your exam results the best way to do this is by first discussing your concern with a member of staff on results day at school. Staff will discuss the options available to you and deadlines of these options. The deadlines are set by the examination boards, and school cannot do anything after the deadline has passed. To that end the deadlines below allow school a very short amount of time for processing requests and must be strictly adhered to.
The remark cost is set by the exam board and it is per unit/paper. If you wish to go ahead with a remark, payment must be received before the request can be processed, and a consent form signed by the student must be obtained before the application can be processed. Where remarks result in a positive change to a grade, the fee is refundable.
If you have been unable to attend school on results day, but would like to request a remark, please email exams@cchs.sslp.uk for further information. It should be noted that remark requests can result in changes to grades that are both positive and negative and candidates need to consider these potential outcomes carefully before completing the consent documents. In the event or a remark request for results that may change university or college admissions decisions, students are advised to make the relevant university or college aware.
Forms that must be completed and returned to process an appeal:
Please note, the student must sign these documents. A scan/photo is acceptable as long as it is legible.

This is used to give school permission to download a copy of your exam paper. We can provide a copy of this to you, or you may ask your teachers (if they are available and have agreed) to look at the script on your behalf, and advise whether they feel there is any merit in requesting a remark.
This service is free of charge. |

This is used to give consent for us to submit an application to the exam board for a review of marking. Your grade could go up, down or remain unchanged.
There is a fee associated with this service, which is paid to the exam boards to cover the cost of the review. The fee is refunded if your grade improves. |
Deadlines, payments & details
If students wish to proceed with Requests for Review of Marking, the deadlines for payment (where applicable) and sending completed consent forms is:

Non-priority reviews (GCSEs, A-levels with no university place dependent): | Payment & consent form received by 12:00 on Friday 19th September 2025 |
Please note that these deadlines are closely related to the exam boards’ strict deadlines. The CCHS deadlines above give us a very short window of time to process requests and make the exam boards’ appeal deadlines, which are non-negotiable.
Payment: the relevant fee(s) should be paid via ParentPay against the item titled “Exam remarks” which will be available on ParentPay after 01 August 2025. The deadline for receipt of payment is 12:00 on the strict deadlines as detailed above.
Completed consent forms should be scanned (PDF preferred) and emailed to exams@cchs.sslp.uk by the strict 12:00 deadlines listed above.
