Health and Social Care is the perfect programme for students who wish to embark on a rewarding career in the care sectors of health, social care or early years. This course is for students who would like to learn all the valuable skills and knowledge that is required when working in the Health and Social Care sector. Health and Social care is about working with people, especially those who are vulnerable, so learning about the types of services which are provided, how to communicate effectively with service users, safeguarding, security and caring for both physical and psychological well‐being are just some of the important topics you will study to ensure the service users you work with are valued, respected and treated like the unique individual they are. This qualification covers a wide range of key subject areas in Health and Social Care. Our Extended Diploma includes a wide range of optional units, allowing learners to pursue an interest in specific areas of social care, health studies and health sciences, while still allowing enough diversity for the optional units to be tailored to suit a learner’s preferred progression path.
