BTEC L3 Performing Arts

Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Performing Arts Practice
Pearson ‐ BTEC

This course is for students who are interested in an engaging programme learning about acting techniques and the performing arts sector. Students will learn and apply acting styles whilst developing skills and techniques for performance. Students will also learn about career opportunities in the Performing Arts industry.
The course is made up of teacher‐led workshops, peer workshops, lectures and performance, allowing you to explore works of Practitioners and develop ideas though independent rehearsals. It has a progression focus which means that work is generated throughout all the practical projects, briefs, workshops and engagement with industry examples.
In addition to the performing arts sector‐specific content, this qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop all‐round performance skills and transferable skills such as self‐confidence, self‐presentation, personal discipline, time management and organisational skills which are highly regarded by higher education and employers.
