As part of their wastewater curriculum area, some of our year 9 and 10 combined science students were introduced to:

The Science of Sewage

The session was delivered by Lucy Farmer from Severn Trent Water
area covered were:

• How a healthy sewer contributes to a healthy environment.
• Bioresources and renewable energy
• The wastewater treatment process
• How we can all help to reduce sewer blockages.

This session was interactive, informative and above all fun with videos, virtual tours, props, as well as real life pictures and scenarios. Lucy also gave pupils an insight into some of the roles within the company too.
