Dress For Business
We feel that all our students should be professional in their approach to Sixth Form and being “business smart” is an important step in ensuring that the students feel prepared for their day of work. We believe that the code will create a purposeful work ethos and positive atmosphere, whilst setting a good example to the younger students.
Smart business suit or trousers, dark colour (no denim or leather)
Collared Shirt – Short or long sleeve.
Smart tailored jacket (optional) – Dark colour – No denim or leather
Sensible tie
Smart business shoes/boots (i.e.shoes/boots which can be polished. Suede acceptable)
Smart professional top. (T Shirts/ jumpers with slogans are not appropriate.)
Smart business suit or trousers or smart dress or a knee length skirt – dark colour
Smart tailored jacket (optional) – Dark colour (no denim or leather)
Dark or neutral tights with skirts if desired
Formal dark smart business shoes/boots with a low heel (i.e. shoes/boots which can be polished. Suede acceptable) Doc Martin’s not acceptable.
Smart professional top (no vests or off the shoulder tops). T Shirts/jumpers with slogans are not appropriate.
No leggings or jeggings
All students must wear their identity badge and lanyards at all times.
Performing Arts/Sport and Football Academy students will follow the dress code for their associated subjects.
Headwear
No hats/caps to be worn in the school building
Hair
Natural range of coloured hair – No patterns cut into hair
Jewellery
Jewellery must not be excessive – i.e. no large hooped earrings
Jewellery must be kept to a safe standard
No facial piercings will be permitted
Accessories
Head phones and mobile phones are only permitted in the Sixth Form Centre not in corridors
Coats/Outerwear
No hoodies are to be worn in school (other than a specified Performing Arts uniform item)
No coats are to be worn in classrooms
Students not adhering to this dress code will be sent home to rectify their state of dress
Performing Arts Acting
For practical sessions students are to be dressed as below.
At all other times students should follow the dress code of the Sixth Form.
Students should follow the guides below.
Plain black jogging bottoms or black leggings (no tracksuit bottoms).
A plain black or white polo shirt or one with the department’s logo on it (no vest tops).
Plain black trainers or pumps
No jeans or jeggings
When involved in a costumed performance you will need to carry a uniform card which will be collected in.
BTEC Sport
Full details of the BTEC Sport tracksuit will be issued by staff.
Football Academy Dress Code
Students will wear a full FA tracksuit
White FA Polo shirt/black training shirt
