This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Parents can feel confident that robust procedures are in place to ensure that staff and volunteers are suitable to work with children.
We hope parents and students will feel free to talk about any concerns or worries which may affect their educational progress and they will see the school as a safe place. Students will be taken seriously if they seek help from a member of staff.
Parents will normally be consulted and their consent obtained before any referral is made to an agency outside the school under “local children in need” procedures. However, staff cannot guarantee to consult parents first, or to keep student’s concerns confidential, if referral must be made to appropriate agencies in order to safeguard the student’s welfare.
Our Safeguarding Policy can be accessed in the policies section of this website.
