Key Stage 4

In 2019, our students achieved excellent GCSE and BTEC results. The headline figures were:

  • 99% of entries were pass grades at GCSE and BTEC;
  • 79% of entries were graded 4+ in GCSE Best English;
  • 70% of entries were graded 4+ in GCSE Mathematics;
  • 64% of students achieved grades 4+ in GCSE English and Maths;
  • 17% of entries were graded 7, 8 or 9;
  • 8% of students achieved the English Baccalaureate;
  • Attainment 8 was 46.8;
  • 98% of students continued into sustained education, employment or training after Key Stage 4.

Key Stage 5

In 2019, our students also achieved an excellent set of A level and BTEC results. Headlines were:

  • 98% of entries were pass grades at A level and Higher BTEC;
  • 44% of entries were graded A* to B at A level;
  • 60% of entries were graded Distinction* at Higher BTEC;
  • Average grade for Academic qualifications was C+ compared with C+ nationally;
  • Average grade for Applied general qualifications was Distinction* compared with Distinction nationally;
  • Progress in GCSE English = +0.65 compared with -0.10 nationally;
  • Progress in GCSE Mathematics = -0.25 compared with -0.13 nationally;
  • Retention rates for A level courses = 96% and for BTEC courses = 95%;
  • 90% of students continued into a sustained education, employment or training destination after Key Stage 5.
